Onesies for Jakey

About 6 months ago, I started making onesies for Jake!  About a month ago (after putting aside the first set because I waited too long and he grew too much) I finally finished them!

Now, that is one cute 'mommy's boy'!!

Christmas presents for the sisters

What do you get your sisters for Christmas when they have everything they need? You applique dishtowels, of course!

First, I made everyone a towel with their last name initial.

And then, I made each sister 1 or 2 towels with applique that suited their personality.

p.s. a special thanks to SLW for your help sewing them! You're a life saver! My stress level was about to cause me to burst!

more applique!!!

Two of my nieces have birthdays within the next two weeks. I made them these shirts! What do you think? This was my first time using my new sewing machine!!!! and it was awesome!! It was also my first time doing double-layer applique, which was a lot easier than I anticipated. I couldn't find a reasonably priced, 2T, plain white shirt ANYWHERE. So I bought one from Old Navy that had a pocket, and I took the pocket off! B's idea. I thought for sure you'd be able to tell...but quite the contrary! It worked beautifully!

I hope the girls love these as much as I do!

B-hick's bro and his wife had a baby boy (a-hick) at the beginning of June. B and I were lucky enough to get to meet him during our recent vacation. To welcome him to the family, I made him these!

and here he is...showing off his new clothes!
